ABOUT VANESSA:

Vanessa Brooks, born and raised in Carlsbad, California started off as a professional dancer. Brooks has been teaching dance and movement for 19+ years. After having double knee surgery at the end of 2005, Brooks found the positive effects of Pilates through rehabilitation. She began her Pilates education while attending California State University Long Beach. In the summer of 2006, Vanessa received her Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science International, with an emphasis on Dance Specialization, under the direction of Karen Clippinger. In 2008 Brooks received her Bachelors of the Arts degree in Dance from California State University Long Beach. Vanessa is also certified in Piyo by Beachbody, TRX by sculptworks, and teaches her own choreographed Barre classes. She has taught Pilates and fitness at numerous studios and gyms throughout southern California and Honolulu including: Frogs Club One, Kore Pilates, Elite Fitness Spas for Women, Pure Fitness, Morgan Run Resort and Spa, Yoga Works, Crunch Fitness, Island Club and Spa, Pilates O Ka La, Harmony Pilates, and Body Balance. Vanessa specializes in working with dancers, athletes, and people who want to challenge, improve, and love their body. She is driven to help people gain emotional and physical self- confidence and improved well-being through Pilates. Vanessa wants to help you feel and look your best!
